I am incredibly honored to share that I have been selected as a jury member for the Solar Diversity Champion Awards, an initiative led by Solar Power Europe. These awards recognize organizations within the European solar sector that have shown an extraordinary commitment to fostering diversity and gender equality.

The Importance of Diversity in the Solar Sector

As we look towards 2030, the solar sector is expected to provide well over 1 million jobs. This makes it imperative to integrate diversity and gender balance into the workforce. Solar energy is already a frontrunner in this regard, boasting a workforce that is 40% female. However, there is still much work to be done, especially in addressing underrepresentation in STEM fields and senior management roles.

The Awards Ceremony: A Date to Remember

The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Solar Works Fair on November 16, 2023. This event promises to be a landmark occasion for the solar industry, bringing together thought leaders, innovators, and change-makers. To be part of this exciting event, you can register here.

The Solar Diversity Champion Awards serve as a catalyst for change, encouraging organizations to prioritize diversity and gender equality. As a jury member, I am committed to recognizing and celebrating those who are making a meaningful impact in these areas.
